The DJI DropSafe drop speed reduction system is designed to slow the speed of your aircraft in the event of an emergency. It deploys in less than half a second, and is effective at a minimum altitude of 6 meters. The reusable design weighs less than 550g, adding very little weight to your flight payload.

Low Altitude Deployment
Minimum effective altitude of just 6 meters.
Lightning Fast Deployment
Deploys in less than half a second.
Lightweight Design
Weighs less than 550g.
Reusable System
The DropSafe has both electrical and mechanical safety mechanisms to ensure there is never any accidental deployment.
Electrical Safety: The electrical safety prevents the DropSafe from deploying within 9 seconds of the system being powered on.
Mechanical Safety: A removable safety pin prevents the triggering pins from making contact with the firing mechanism. Users must remove the safety pin before the first flight, and may choose to replace the safety pin after each flight.
Also, a self-checking LED indicates the DropSafe system status. A green light will display after a full system check is complete, and other lights will display indicating different statuses.
Fully compatible with the DJI S1000+, S1000 and S900 flying platforms.
S900 S1000+ & S1000
Note: Because of the payload capacities of the S800 and S800 EVO, DJI does not recommend use of the DropSafe with these systems when they are fully loaded with a gimbal, camera, and other accessories. If the S800 or S800 EVO is flown without a full payload, then the DropSafe may be used.
Compatible with the DJI A2 flight control system and supports command inputs from RC transmitters. When using these systems, the motor power can be set to automatically cut off when the DropSafe is deployed.
There are two ways the Dropsafe system may be triggered:
1. If using a DJI flight controller, the Dropsafe system will deploy automatically if a fatal malfunction is detected.
2. Users can deploy the Dropsafe system manually by presetting a dedicated switch on their remote controller and toggling it in the event of emergency.
Additionally, a back-up battery safeguards the system, so if the main battery fails, the Dropsafe can still be manually deployed.
The DJI Dropsafe is designed to reduce the drop speed of your flght platform. There is no guarantee that it will protect your equipment, prevent injury, or prevent property damage.
CO2 canisters are required and not included with the DJI Dropsafe. DJI assumes no liability for or damages or injuries incurred directly or indirectly from using CO2 canisters improperly or using CO2 canisters that don’t meet safety requirements or standards.
